These little Banana Pepper Rings are wonderful. They are a great addition to any salad. They are mild and a little bit sweet. And cheap. $1.19 for the jar.

Fit & Active Protein Bars

My athletic-runner son loves these. They are great after a work-out. And just great in general. They aren't "cheap", but they are a lot less expensive than the name brand bars. The Aldi Fit & Active brand Protein Meal Bars are $3.99 while the similar Special K Protein Meal Bars are $5.99 at my local Wegmans.

Jumbo Trail Mix

This is a huge bag of trail mix. It's 24 oz of awesome sweet & nutty mixture. For only $3.99. Just to compare, Wegmans has a gigantic Trail Mix (48 oz) for $12.99. It's pretty much the same thing. I'm thinking you could buy 3 of the Aldi Trail Mix bags for the price of 1 Wegmans Trail Mix. And end up with 24 oz. of Trail Mix for free. As usual, the Aldi brand wins for best deal.

The Best Teriyaki Marinade Ever

We love Teriyaki Chicken in our house. And this marinade is just perfect. We slice up green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and pineapple then saute everything in a pan with this Teriyaki sauce. Then add the cooked chicken. Pour over some Fit & Active Brown rice, and you have yourself a delicious  and healthy meal. Oh, and did I mention the marinade is only 99 cents?

Vine Ripe Tomatoes

On sale this week at Aldi: Vine Ripe Tomatoes. Perfect for a summer salad or just on their own. They are big and they are wonderful. And they only cost 99 cents!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

I found this recipe for Buffalo Chicken Dip on Pinterest and knew I had to make it someday. Then this week I saw this "Sweet Baby Ray's" Buffalo Wing Sauce on sale at Aldi for $1.99. So I knew this was going to be on my menu this holiday weekend!

Here's the recipe:
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup bleu cheese salad dressing
1/2 cup Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 cup shredded cheese (I used the Mexican blend)
1 can Premium White Chunk Chicken Breast in Water, drained
Tortilla Chips

Stir the cream cheese into a casserole dish with a fork or whisk until smooth. Stir in the blue cheese dressing and the wing sauce. Stir in the chicken. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until the Buffalo Wing Dip is hot and bubbling. Stir before serving. Serve with the tortilla chips, crackers and/or celery.

Here's the finished product. It is so delicious!

My favorite thing to serve with this is tortilla chips. And I'd have to say it goes well with an ice cold beer too. If only my Aldi sold beer...

Chubby Pretzels

I picked these up last week at Aldi. They looked yummy and fun to make. However, I learned during the process of making these that I would not make it as a pretzel maker at Auntie Anne's .

My husband and I attempted to created the pretzels. I won't divulge which pretzel(s) were made by him...

We did eventually figure out how to create the pretzel shape.

But we forgot one very important step: stretching each piece before shaping it into a pretzel. Which would be why our pretzels were quite chubby.

However, they were quite tasty. And a fun treat. Next time, we'll stretch the dough before shaping it.

Cinnamon Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring

This is such a quick and easy and absolutely delicious recipe for breakfast. I actually found the recipe on Pinterest. (If you're not on Pinterest, you should be!)

It literally takes 3 minutes to make.

And then 25 minutes to cook. And here's how you do it!

Cinnamon Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring

1 tube Aldi Jumbo buttermilk biscuits (Or 2 tubes if you'd like a bigger ring)
3 tbsp melter butter1/2 cup pancake syrup
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

Spray a bundt pan with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and maple syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon. Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top. Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping edges to form a ring. Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixtures. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute in the pan, then flip onto a serving platter and enjoy!

Tomato and Mozzarella Salad

What's easier than a tomato and mozzarella salad? Not much! And when Aldi has grape tomatoes on sale for 69 cents, it can't get much cheaper either. Even the mozzarella was cheap at $2.69. (It's $3.79 at Wegmans.)

I cut up the mozzarella, added some Italian dressing, the tomatoes, and mixed them together. If I had some basil, I would have added that as well, but I didn't. It was still delicious though!

Sunflower Seeds

I found these up by the checkout during my latest Aldi trip. Even Aldi has strategically placed items at the checkout. Well, it caught my eye and ended up in my cart. They were a great deal at $1.69 and they were terrific! And they barely lastest a day and a half in our house. Everybody loved them.
